Ryman Eco font
Hogarth has developed the world's most beautiful sustainable font
Launched during this year’s Earth Hour, Ryman Eco is both a beautiful font and a sustainable one (as it uses 33% less ink than standard fonts). Hogarth’s design team and print production studio worked with Grey London and Monotype to develop and launch Ryman Eco.
The aim of the project was to create a font that uses as little ink as possible but also remaining attractive and usable too. We didn’t want to compromise legibility for sustainability; after all the font will only help the environment if people actually use it. Hogarth’s design team and print production studio worked on a number of options during the development process. The end result of this work is ‘the world’s most beautiful sustainable font’, now available to use, share and download for free at rymaneco.co.uk
